Santa Claus Parade 2009


The annual Santa Claus parade this year will take place on Saturday, November 21, 2009.  The parade will form on Robinson Street, near Navy street and is scheduled to begin at 9:00 AM and will travel:  Reynolds, Lakeshore and Kerr streets, finishing at Kerr and Stewart.  The parade will be over at approximately 11:00 to 11:30 AM.

There will be a free shuttle bus service from the Oakville GO station to Downtown Oakville.  During the parade, a number of bus routes will be on detour.  Please scroll down for details. 

FREE SHUTTLE BUS SERVICE

The first bus will depart the Oakville GO station to Downtown Oakville at 8:00 AM.  The shuttle will operate to Downtown via Reynolds, Randall, George, Church, then returning to the GO station via the same routing.  The shuttle service will operate approximately every 15 minutes until 11:15 AM.

ROUTES ON DETOUR

Route 2 East - will travel Lakeshore, Dorval, Speers, Cornwall, Allan, Lakeshore and back on regular route

Route 2 West - will travel Lakeshore, Allan, Randall, Reynolds, Cornwall, Speers, Dorval, Lakeshore and back on regular route

Route 14 to Oakville GO - will travel Rebecca until Dorval, Dorval to Speers and Cross Ave. into the Oakville GO.

Route 14 to Lakeside Plaza - will travel on Speers to Dorval, to Rebecca and continue on regular route.

Route 15 to Oakville GO - will travel on regular route to Mary, north on Dorval, east on Speers and Cross into the GO station.

Route 15 to Hopedale - will travel on Speers to Dorval, south on Dorval, west on Mary and continue on regular route.

Route 17 Kerr - will travel south on Trafalgar, Cornwall, Reynolds, Randall, George, Church to Church and Dunn.  Then return to Oakville GO station via Church, north on Reynolds to Cornwall, Trafalgar and into the GO station.
