Fares (Effective July 1, 2006) Cash fare $2.50 exact change

Children under 5 ride for free when accompanied by a fare paying adult.
*Students 6-18 years and/or are full-time elementary or high school students with proper card identification. Sheridan College and Adult Learning Centre students are considered adults.
Oakville Transit tickets and passes can be purchased at any of our Ticket Agents.
Fare Policies
- Child = 0 to 5 years
- Student = 6 to18 years
- Adult = 19 to 64 years
- Senior = 65+ years
- Cash: have exact cash ready. Drivers do not carry change.
- Tickets: purchase them before your trip from one of our ticket agents. Put them into the farebox when you board. Day Passes/Monthly Passes: purchased at a ticket agent, you must show these to the driver each time you board.
- GO with GUS/GO Train Tickets/Passes: When you are planning to travel on a GO Train, you may ride the bus for $0.50 to or from the GO Station. Show your valid GO Train ticket/pass to your driver each time you board. Deposit $0.50 into the farebox or show your valid GO with GUS pass to your driver when travelling to or from a GO Station only. GO Group passes do not qualify for $0.50 rides.
- Mississauga Transit/Burlington Transit/HSR: transfer free! Transfers must be time validated by the other system and not expired. (HSR transfers are now accepted on Oakville buses at the Burlington Downtown Terminal).
- Oakville Transit only accepts Oakville Transit tickets and passes.
- Transfers: cannot be used for a layover. Transfers must not be crumpled or damaged in any way in order to be valid.
Standard Policies
- Shirts and shoes are required
- Only working dogs are allowed on buses. Other small pets may be transported in steel/plastic cages which are locked.
- In line skates must be removed before boarding the bus. Bicycles and other large objects are not permitted on buses for the safety of other passengers.
- If you are standing, remain behind the driver's compartment.
For passenger safety and comfort please:
- do not carry on lengthy conversations with the drivers
- do not smoke, eat and/or drink on the buses
- do not exit from the front door, please use the rear door
- do not leave your child in his/her stroller - strollers must be folded
