Community Bus
The Community Bus schedule is published separately from the conventional service. Select a Community Bus Route schedule from the drop-down list above.
Note: Timetables are an approximation only. Oakville Transit strives to maintain a schedule despite traffic and weather conditions, while putting the safety of our passengers first.
The Community Bus is a low floor, completely accessible 15 passenger vehicle available for anyone to use.
The buses operate fixed route service, Monday through Saturday from approximately 10:00 am until 4:40 pm. They follow an alternate schedule depending upon the day of the week. One route, the Yellow, runs the same route each day. The Community Bus does not operate during Statutory Holidays.
The Community Bus routing services mostly seniors' centres, seniors' residences, shopping areas, and medical centres. Transfers between the Community Bus and regular transit services are permitted. The service changes occasionally to meet the changing needs of our community.
Locations not listed on the schedule (but on the route) or at a time point where an "R" is indicated can also be accommodated. Ask the driver or call Oakville Transit at (905) 815-2020 to request that the bus stop for you.
Priority seating policy in effect Persons in scooters/wheechairs are accommodated first and persons using the aids of stroller, walkers and canes are give second priority. Those people able to use conventional transit vehicles are accommodated last and may be required to wait for the next Community Bus.
Seatbelts Oakville Transit requires that all passengers use seatbelts which are available on the Community Buses. Those passengers in wheelchairs will be assisted with strapping their devices to the bus. Passengers with scooters are requested to leave the scooter and sit in a bus seat for safety reasons.
