Oakville Transit Prepares for Possible GO Transit Strike
Oakville, January 4, 2008 - For Immediate Release In preparation for a possible GO Transit bus operator strike, Oakville Transit advises its customers to plan for possible delays at GO Transit stations.
"Should a GO Transit strike take place on Monday, we have designated alternative drop off/pick up locations in order to minimize delays to Oakville Transit service," said Debbie Dalle Vedove, Manager, Transit Operations for Oakville Transit.
If GO Transit job action causes disruption to Oakville Transit drivers/customers at the GO Transit stations, then Oakville Transit will drop off/pick up customers at the following locations:
- Bronte GO Station: on Wyecroft Road (south side) adjacent to the bus entrance
- Oakville GO Station: on Cross Avenue (south side and north side) adjacent to the bus entrance
- Clarkson GO Station: on Royal Windsor Drive (north side) adjacent to the bus entrance
Additional staff will be on site to assist customers with their travel plans.
