Starting this September, Oakville Transit is offering more convenience, more choice, and more connections than ever before.  This is the first step in a multi-year plan to offer Oakville residents and visitors the type of transit system they have been asking for. The following questions and answers will help you to better understand the exciting changes that are coming this fall. Our vision is to be the most livable town in Canada and at Oakville Transit that means offering services that make taking public transit your first choice in transportation.

What routes run on which days?
Oakville Transit service coverage, effective December 6, 2009:
Monday to Friday - All routes operate on weekdays
Saturday - Routes 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 11, 13, 14, 15, 17, 19, 20, 21, 22, 24, 26, 28 and 32
Sunday/Holiday - Routes 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 13, 14, 15, 17, 19, 20, 24, 28 and 32

Late Night Service
Oakville Transit provides late night buses from the Oakville GO Station at 12:25 am and 1:25 am to coincide with the arrival times of the last two trains from Toronto Union Station.

Passengers leaving the trains board the buses that service the area of Oakville that they wish to reach - either Northeast, Northwest, Southeast or Southwest - and inform the driver of the location they wish to be dropped off at.  The driver and Service Supervisor will then construct a route "on the spot" based on the drop-offs requested.

Stop On Request
Concerned about your safety? "Stop on Request" is a customer service available to all passengers after dusk on all Oakville Transit vehicles.

If you feel your personal safety is at risk, you can ask the driver to let you off as close to your requested stop as possible.

For added safety, "Stop on Request" users are asked to leave by the front doors.
